Tips for your study abroad scholarships search

  • Start your scholarship search early. You can often apply to study abroad scholarships before you have applied or are accepted into your study abroad program.
  • Include general scholarships in your funding search.
  • If you are currently receiving UW scholarships, you may be able to apply those to your study abroad fees.
  • Understand the cost of your UW education as well as how you currently finance it. For some scholarships you will need to demonstrate financial need through the submission of a FAFSA, and later submit a revision request to the Office of Student Financial Aid along with your official program budget (provided by UW Study Abroad).
