 Scholarship Advising Appointments

Our office strives to be a helpful resource for all UW undergraduate students. Advisors are available for individual advising appointments with current UW undergraduates searching and applying for scholarships. Before you contact us for an individual advising appointment, please make sure to read through this website thoroughly and at least attempt some scholarship searching to identify specific scholarships you would like to pursue.

Advising appointments are usually 30-60 minutes long. During your appointment, you can expect us to ask a lot of questions about your interests, activities, studies, goals, etc. But don’t worry, we don’t expect you to have all the answers! We will talk with you about  scholarships we might be able to suggest for you, but we won’t be able to give you a perfect list, so you’ll always have to do some searching.

We can assist you with application essays, your CV/resume, requesting strong letters of recommendation, interviews, and many other parts of merit-based scholarship applications. Feel free to bring drafts with you! And don’t be afraid to ask us any questions you might have about scholarships, applications, letters of recommendation, etc. We are here to support you and we view the scholarship application process as a learning opportunity.

For general scholarship information, please consider attending one of our workshops or information sessions, scheduled throughout the quarter.
