Research Project: Geographic Variation in the Vocalization of Steller’s Jays

Project Description: After analysis of Steller’s Jay recordings from several different geographic variations, significant differences within call types were found. 

What have you learned throughout your research project? 

I learned how to adjust experimental design due to unexpected crises and still answer the original question. I also learned how to prepare to answer questions for a research presentation from an audience of peers.

What piece of advice do you have for future applicants?

Reach out to your mentor for support if you run into road blocks! They’re there to help you with your project.
