Office of Merit Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards

The Fashion Scholarship Fund invests in the future of the fashion industry through awarding scholarships to undergraduate students with an interest in working in the fashion industry, either from the business perspective or the design perspective. Selected students receive a scholarship for $7,500, attend a Gala in New York City and are encouraged to participate in a paid summer internship program. The UW became a partner school in 2013.

Congratulations 2024 Fashion Scholar, Sabrina Chan!

Informatics Major

Sabrina’s near-term and long-term goals: I want to draw from my Informatics experience to drive technical innovation within fashion/luxury. My hope is to be a leader within this growing section of the industry.

Sabrina’s tips for future applicants: When working on your case study, make sure you solution/proposal is clear and well developed. You should find a current gap within the industry or a specific company and explain why it is important to address. Then throughout your case study, explain how your solution would address it and why that is the best option.
